CALL FOR ARTISTS

We are a Munich gallery for contemporary art and are currently planning our annual group exhibition HALF A POUND OF ART.  Since we like to offer a colorful potpourri of works, we are regularly looking for new artists who would like to participate in a group exhibition together with long-standing artists of the gallery. The DEADLINE is 31 December, 2025.

In our annual exhibition series HALF A POUND OF ART we unite strong positions of international artists who have something innovative to offer the art world. The exhibited works are exclusively small format with a maximum size of 50 x 50 cm. The exhibition does not follow a thematic curation, crucial factors are the size and excellence of the works. The medium is kept open and offers space for painting and sculpture, as well as for photography, installations, conceptual or video art. On display are outstanding works that challenge our viewing habits, works that awaken in us a love of detail and, above all, are characterized by technical sophistication. This exhibition is conceived as an homage to the small format – a sometimes underestimated but highly exciting format in which a maximum of technical expertise and creative refinement accumulates.

The exhibition will be on display from 22 January to 14 March, 2026, during our regular opening hours (Thursday – Saturday, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm).  A vernissage is scheduled for Thursday, 22 January, 7-10 p.m.

Wir sind eine Münchner Galerie für zeitgenössische Kunst und planen derzeit unsere jährliche Gruppenausstellung HALF A POUND OF ART. Nachfolgend das Ausstellungskonzept:
In unserer jährlichen Ausstellungsreihe HALF A POUND OF ART vereinen wir starke Positionen internationaler Künstler, die der Kunstwelt Innovatives zu bieten haben. Die ausgestellten Werke sind ausschließlich kleinformatig mit einer maximalen Größe von 50 x 50 cm. Das Medium wird dabei offen gehalten und bietet Raum für Malerei und Skulptur, ebenso wie für Fotografie, Installationen, Konzept- oder Videokunst. Gezeigt werden herausragende Arbeiten, die unsere Sehgewohnheiten herausfordern – Werke, die in uns die Liebe zum Detail wecken und sich vor allem durch technische Raffinesse auszeichnen. Diese Ausstellung ist als Hommage and das Kleinformat konzipiert – ein bisweilen unterschätztes aber höchst spannendes Format, in welchem sich ein Höchstmaß an technischer Versiertheit und kreativer Raffinesse akkummuliert.

Die Ausstellung wird vom 22 Januar bis 14 März, 2026 in den Räumlichkeiten der Galerie zu unseren regulären Öffnungszeiten (Donnerstag – Samstag, 15:00 bis 19:00 Uhr) zu sehen sein. Eine Vernissage ist für Donnerstag, den 22 Januar, 19:00 bis 22:00 Uhr geplant.
